In the first episode of the series, it was apparent that Max has had a long-time crush on Liz Parker.
He proved this when he risked being exposed for the alien he is, to save her life after she was shot at the Crashdown.
Too bad Liz was dating Kyle Valenti at the time.
After several months of intense flirting and very close encounters, Max and Liz finally became a couple.
However, no couple on television can ever achieve long-term happiness. Towards the end of season one, a girl named Tess,
Max's long lost alien wife from a past life, came into the picture.
In the season one finale, Max discovered his destiny was to be with Tess. Liz broke things off right
away, after all, it was to better the planet.
Season two was a tough one for this star-crossed couple. Even though Max was determined to win
Liz back and forget about his destiny with Tess, Liz just wouldn't get back with poor Max.
Liz was visited by future Max, who insisted that the world will end if Max doesn't fall out of love with
Liz. Liz was forced to make Max think she slept with Kyle. It worked - Max was so devastated that he finally allowed
Tess into his life, even sexually.
Season three was full of surprises for the Dreamy couple as Max died only to be brought back to life
by Liz! The series finale included news that the couple got married!
